Isabella Turso is an internationally respected Art Director, Head of Music, and A&R, whose rare blend of creative brilliance and executive acumen has positioned her as a key figure in today’s music and entertainment industries. Alongside her leadership roles, Isabella is also an accomplished composer, pianist, songwriter, and producer, bringing depth, originality, and vision to every project she touches.
Her professional journey includes serving as A&R for BlubellDisc Music, a historic Italian label with a rich legacy, known for having published iconic artists such as Fabrizio De André. In this role, Isabella contributed to the discovery, development, and positioning of both emerging and established talents. She also served as Head of Music for Vibrante, where she oversaw the strategic direction of music projects with a strong emphasis on artistic coherence and innovation. As an Artistic Director, she has curated and led numerous high-impact creative ventures that seamlessly combine storytelling, sound, and market sensibility.
Her academic background — with honors degrees in piano and chamber music from the Conservatory of Trento — laid the foundation for a vibrant international career. Over the years, she has collaborated with renowned artists such as Pino Donaggio, Luis Bacalov, Paolo Fresu, Andrea Morricone, Tina Guo, Dargen D’Amico, and IN-Q. Her performances and compositions have been featured at globally respected events like the Venice International Film Festival, Rome Film Festival, and European Capital of Culture celebrations.
As a recording artist, Isabella has released a string of acclaimed albums that bridge classical tradition with cinematic and contemporary elements. Her works include All Light, Omaggio a Donaggio, Big Break, and Nocturne, the latter with Matteo Procaccioli Della Valle serving as art director. She also collaborated with poet IN-Q on the spoken word album The Never Ending Now, which was previously under Grammy Award consideration in the Best Spoken Word Poetry Album category.
In addition to her work in music, Isabella is the creator and host of the Nightfall podcast, a personal and evocative space where music, thought, and narrative meet. She has also brought her creative voice to the theater world, collaborating with Oscar-winning director Luc Jacquet on the stage production Storie di Mare e Piccole Terre.
Her achievements have been recognised with prestigious honours, including the Apoxiomeno Award for Music (joining figures such as Helen Mirren, Robert Hackford, Abel Ferrara, and Robert Edsel) and the Troisi Prize, presented by actress Maria Grazia Cucinotta. She has also earned admiration from industry legends like Ennio Morricone and Maury Yeston.
Isabella has been photographed by celebrated fashion photographers Andrea Varani and Cristiano Moretti, and served as testimonial for renowned fashion designer Eleonora Lastrucci — further highlighting her versatile creative presence across artistic disciplines.
